Tomorrow's the day! It's release day for Invitation to a Cornish Christmas. In anticipation of that, I wanted folks to have a chance to meet my charming heroine, Rosenwyn Treleven. You will recognize the physical inspiration below for Rosenwyn as the lovely Demelza from Poldark.  Rosenwyn is the oldest of  Sir Jock Treleven's six red-haired daughters. She's been to London for two Seasons and had some acclaim as an accomplished pianist until a scandal of the heart sent her back to Cornwall for good. That's fine with her. Unlike Cador Kitto, she loves her part of the world. Where he has darker memories of his childhood, she has glorious childhood remembrances of Porth Karrek. But this is not all the two clash over.  Her brush with the world has left her cynical of flirtatious, good looking men and she worries what such a man might intend during his time in Porth Karrek. The last thing she wants is Cador Kitto near her or her sisters. But the more she tries to warn ...

In "Unwrapping his Festive Temptation," my part of the Cornish Christmas anthology, readers meet Cador Kitto, a composer hired by Treeve Penhaligon (Marguerite's hero) to compose a Christmas cantata for Nadelik.  Cador is a local boy made good. Twenty years ago, he left Porth Karrek to study music, courtesy of Porth Karrek reverend who saw his potential, and he's never looked back for several reasons.  In fact, Cador never intended to return to Porth Karrek, but circumstances have conspired against him and now he needs to confront his past in order to embrace his future.  For this hero, I wanted to do something a little different from usual Bronwyn Scott heroes. Cador is not overly tall.  He's 5'9, slender in build, and has flowing, golden poet-hair as I like to call it. Toby Regbo's portrayal of Francis in Reign provides some inspiration for this particular look, a nice blend of a strong character with a poet's looks.  This blend made sense to ...

I am so excited about these stories. This anthology is our 4th collaboration together and I think it's the best so far.   I am pleased also to share that "Unwrapping his Festive Temptation," my story in the anthology, is my 50th Harlequin release, so this book is a double win for me! For the stories, we invented a Cornish coastal village called Porth Karrek, and it very well could look like something like this photo to the right. It has headlands upon which is one of the big manors owned by Marguerite's hero's family, the Penhaligons.
