Notorious Rake, Innocent Lady picked as Valentine Read for Book Club

A fun bit of news: A Lake Tapps book club selected Notorious Rake as their February read. They wanted something sexy for the month of love. That book will fit the bill nicely. I was thrilled to hear it. It's a perfect time to read Notorious Rake if people haven't done so since the older brother's story comes out in North America in March and the older brother features in the February Undone short, Wicked Earl, Wanton Widow.

Since Christmans, I've been on a Bronwyn reading binge and read all of your Regency Bundle books on my Kindle. Notorious Rake was my absolute FAVORITE!!! In fact, I'm about ready to read it again because I enjoyed it so much. Now, I think I've read everything until your new one comes out in March....can't wait!

Day 4 of the Viscountdown!: The Bickford Fuse

On p. 185 in Chapter 14, Valerian and Phillippa and her brother, Beldon, have a dinner conversation about a man named Bickford who is patenting a new kind of fuse for blasting in the mines. Valerian and Beldon decide to ride over the next day and talk with him about his invention. The Bickford fuse was a big step forward for mining safety since it took away a significant amount of risk miners faced when lighting the traditional reed fuses. Bickford did exist, he did craft this fuse and did design his own production line for mass producing that fuse in the 1830s.
