If you've read a Bronwyn Scott book like The Viscount Claims His Bride, or other Bronwyn Scott titles, log on to www.amazon.com find the book and if you liked the book, submit your personal review. Getting 4 and 5 star reviews on Amazon helps titles make some of the listmania lists that Amazon publishes and it's good, inexpensive publicity for your favorite authors. You can also defend your favorites against uncharitable reviews. It's a great way to support your favorite authors and it just takes a few minutes. Reviews for Pickpocket Countess and Notorious Rake were all very favorable, and both titles scored high in 2008. Now we have to work on the Viscount and the new release in May, "The Earl's Forbidden Ward."

Day 4 of the Viscountdown!: The Bickford Fuse

On p. 185 in Chapter 14, Valerian and Phillippa and her brother, Beldon, have a dinner conversation about a man named Bickford who is patenting a new kind of fuse for blasting in the mines. Valerian and Beldon decide to ride over the next day and talk with him about his invention. The Bickford fuse was a big step forward for mining safety since it took away a significant amount of risk miners faced when lighting the traditional reed fuses. Bickford did exist, he did craft this fuse and did design his own production line for mass producing that fuse in the 1830s.
